The conversation can be deafening, like the screaming buzz of a stadium at the peak of a rock concert. Other times the conversation is mute, like smiles exchanged on a jogging path. Friendly gestures or screaming anguish, it’s conversation that literally defines our humanity.
Good conversation can be traced to antiquity, if not on record, then surely in humanity’s demonstrated ability to convey its dreams. Demons and deities are created and destroyed in conversations, as are memories of stars and sunsets, love and ladybugs – all in relation to our experiences with each.
Conversations? Friends, we should be so lucky to have our wares be worthy of conversation among those with whom we speak. It’s an honor to be talked about and a fragile sign of respect to be engaged. Trust that respect, or suffer the deafening silence of conversation that does not include you.
Join the Conversation – A good dialog is not hard to find if you start by listening.

it’s so true Collin; the respect of an actual conversation has been lost upon many of us. Most people just wait for their turn to speak, instead of responding. They HEAR what the other person is saying but they don’t LISTEN. So much is lost because of this.
When I find myself in the fortunate situation of being in a true conversation I find it refreshing and relish every moment of it. You learn much more by listening.
