A friendly reminder that I will be speaking on the topic of “Radical Trust” Day 2 at “Consumer 2.0 in a few short days from now.
Plan to attend if you can!
Once again, here are the details:
Consumer 2.0 : Meeting the Demands of the Connected Consumer
presented by OpenDialogue
Feb 21 & 22, 2007
Old Mill, Toronto Ontario Canada.
CONSUMER 2.0
Meeting the Demands of the Connected ConsumerThe era of mass media is giving way to one of personal and participatory media. In this new media culture, people no longer passively “consume” media but actively participate in them, which usually means creating content, in whatever form and on whatever scale. To remain relevant, advertisers and the media need to tap into this energy for innovation and communication by integrating the social media with their marketing mix. At this conference, industry executives will share how media, telecom, advertisers and retailers are successfully shifting their relationship with consumers from push to pull, from advertising to collaboration, and from top-down to bottom-up.
I am also looking forward this weeks “3rd Tuesday” social media/PR gathering where we will hear Anthony Williams engage us in an exploration of Wikinomics.
See you at Betty’s on Tuesday, and the Old Mill on Thursday.

Hey Collin,
Darn, I didn’t hear about Consumer 2.0 until your post. But I’m looking forward to Third Tuesday with Anthony Williams. I hope to meet you there.
And bring your best smile, cause I’m hoping to put a face on Canadian social media. I’ll be taking pictures of as manyu bloggers, podcasters and video bloggers as I can get to stand still! I’ve posted about this at http://www.propr.ca/index.php/2007/get-the-picture-of-canadian-social-media/.
Oh, and we’ve had a change of venue to the Bier Markt. Hope to see you there.
